MONUMENT TO THE BLESSED SOR FRANCINAINA CIRER

The monument is located in front of the church of Sencelles.

The sculptor Jaume Mir made the monument in 1955. It is devoted to the blessed Sor Francinaina Cirer.

It has a quadrangular stone base with different motifs and inscriptions.

An inscription on the north side reads “Sencelles a sor Francinaina any 1955” (Sencelles to Sor Francinaina year 1955). On the west side there is a relief of Sor Francinaina separating two men, on the south side a relief of Sor Francinaina educating children and on the east side a relief of Sor Francinaina giving alms to the poor.

A statue of Sor Francinaina crowns the monument.
